OHM bicycles are unique, long-range, power on demand bicycles with an intelligent energy management system designed to increase your riding experience. OHM bicycles let you commute and run your errands more quickly and exercise without exhausting yourself.
OHM bicycles are easy to operate just like a normal bike and designed to be operated by a wide range of people. OHM recommends that riders be 16 years or older and weigh between 100 and 250 pounds. OHM bikes incorporate an electric wheel motor, rechargeable battery and digital display that automatically read your pedaling effort and add power to your pedaling, according to the selected mode. Switch to generative mode and you can apply dynamic braking, recharge the battery while you ride and simulate slopes to function as a fitness machine.
OHM bicycles operate in a wide variety of terrains and climate conditions. All electronic components including the control console, battery and electric motor are sealed to protect them from the environment. OHM bicycles are tested and able to withstand different temperatures and exposure to moisture. With depleted batteries, your OHM will operate as a normal bicycle. You will need to plug the battery pack into an outlet and let it charge for at least three hours to reach a full charge.
OHM bicycles are guaranteed to the original purchaser for two years against manufacturer defects from date of purchase, except for the rechargeable battery which is guaranteed for one year.
For 2009, special improvements have been made to the OHM bicycles for easier operation and more comfortable riding:

Balance<
Center mounted battery container provides better balance and weight distribution and maintains a standard bike wheel base. The battery container is made from lightweight, durable polycarbonate and securely locks to the frame to provide a lockable storage compartment and is easily removed for recharging with the custom OHM quick-connect system.
